Pastor Vernon and Tonya have been married for thirty three years and have been blessed with four beautiful children and five wonderful grandsons. Pastor Vernon and Tonya accepted the call into ministry in the early 90's .
Both are ordained ministers in the Gospel, holding Bachelors in Theology Degrees, experienced Bible College and Seminary instructors, Counselors and so much more.
Having served and worked full time in the ministry, God has now given them the assignment of their own ministry called United Faith Christian Center Inc.
We believe that connecting people to the Word of God and hearing the truth of the gospel will bring about a change that is lasting as well as evident in an individuals life!
Our journey began in the wake of the COVID 19 pandemic. We always had ideas in our hearts and minds about the type of ministry we believe God called us into establishing but as time went on and organized churches around the world experienced the effects of the pandemic we continued to seek God for doors to open when many ministries were closing their doors due to state and government restrictions and the financial effects of not being able to fellowship.
UFCC as a ministry held through and we focused on what was still an avenue to spread the gospel without violating laws or putting people at risk. Social media was the tool and we launched our first video service without much experience and equipment. As time passed God provided us with ideas, resources, tools and even gave our children an opportunity to utilize their skills and ideas. God is great and the Gospel is the power to change lives and those that are willing to change their methods to change lives with the never changing word of God will find faith to do something!
UFCC really sought to put the pieces together and a Church online has been our most effective tool to reach out and also open the doors of opportunity for us to be involved in our community through our outreach ministry TYBMINISTRIES. We feed the homeless, we have women's group meetings, visit the nursing homes, support other ministries and we provide counseling and support when able to those in need. Well, that sounds like what being called to ministry is all about. I believe in my heart that God calls some to establish ministries within the four walls of a building and some outside the four walls. In the Bible you will find examples of both with the same purpose "changing the lives of people through the power of the gospel".
We are so excited about our Church online journey and hope and pray UFCC reaches lives, impact individuals, families and communities beyond what we ever imagined.
